Team Advisor: Lisa B. Horowitz, JD, MSOD, Founder and Principal Strategist, Attorney Talent Strategy Group LLC,

Location:
Palo Alto, CA

In an effort to generate “out of the box” ideas for advancing and retaining women in law firms, a group of partners and legal industry thought leaders has been convened and will participate in a Hackathon in June hosted by Stanford Law School. Since January, nine teams, each with six law firm partners, two advisers with experience in diversity issues and a Stanford Law student have been been brainstorming innovative ways to smash a stubborn glass ceiling. In June, each team will pitch their ideas to a panel of judges including general counsels from PepsiCo Inc. and Wal-Mart Stores Inc. and a retired federal judge. All prize money (first place is $10,000)will be donated to nonprofits supporting the advancement of women in law.
